Why this site exists

DLsite's average ratings are extremely J-shaped: most buyers give high scores and very few give low ones. As a result almost every work sits between 4.5 and 4.8, so the average rating is nearly useless for comparing works.

Sales figures are cumulative, so works that sold well years ago stay on top forever. Neither "what is good right now" nor "what buyers actually loved" can be read from the official rankings.

So we re-ranked the works after statistically removing the effects of sales volume and how long a work has been on sale. Those are the four rankings here.

The four rankings

Well-rated — 2,000

Works that buyers rated especially highly. Correlation with sales is only −0.21 (essentially none) — "sells well" does not mean "well rated". This is the biggest difference from DLsite's own ranking.

Hot — 2,000

Works selling right now. Ranked by how fast they sell, not by cumulative sales, so works that sold well years ago cannot sit at the top forever. Detecting a recent burst of momentum is still accumulating data, so overall sales speed dominates for now.

Hidden gems — 837

Slow sellers with exceptionally high buyer ratings. Because they sell slowly, most people never got a chance to see them (about 1% of all works).

Works that already appear in the Well-rated top ranks are excluded — they are not "hidden".

Tag heat

Tags are ranked by recent sales, not cumulative sales, so old tags cannot stay on top forever. It shows which themes are popular right now.

About the scores

• Scores are deviation values (mean 50, SD 10, clamped to 1–99).
• Normalised within price bands, so cheap and expensive works are not disadvantaged.
• The effects of sales volume and how long a work has been on sale are statistically removed.
• Works with few samples are shrunk toward the mean.
• The Well-rated ranking keeps only the top 2,000. Below that, a work is simply outside the ranking. (Hot and Hidden gems contain fewer works overall: 2,000 and 837.)
• The "Ranking generated" time at the top of a page is when that ranking was computed.
• Brand-new works normally do not appear. Ratings and reviews take time to accumulate, so this site is not for discovering just-released works.

About the data

• Covers 98,830 audio works (ASMR etc.) on DLsite (data updated: 2026/10/25).
• Work titles use the original edition's title, not the translated edition's, so most of them are in Japanese.
• Tag names follow the interface language (Japanese / 繁體中文 / English).
• Rankings update daily; tag heat updates weekly.
• Prices and sales counts are as of the fetch time. Always confirm on DLsite.
• The Day / Week / Month badges show the best rank a work achieved on DLsite and the date it achieved it.
